About me

I am Chris Stalker, an advocacy and campaigning expert and founder of campaign4impact.

I work to support non-profit organizations and networks, foundations and institutions become more effective drivers of progressive, rights-based, social and political change.

I have over 30 years of experience working in the non-profit sector and have conducted close to 100 advocacy and campaign evaluations in over 50 countries.

I held senior advocacy roles at Oxfam, Amnesty International and the UK’s National Council of Voluntary Organisations (NCVO). In 2007, I established NCVO’s Campaigning Effectiveness Programme, a multi million-pound capacity building project for non-profit campaigning and advocacy.

I moved to the United States in 2014 and worked until 2022 for Oxfam US where I managed the advocacy evaluation and learning program.

I am also extremely passionate about teaching and mentoring future generations of campaigners and activists. I was an Adjunct Professor at the Wagner School, New York University and have previously lectured in advocacy strategy and evaluation and international human rights at American University, Washington, D.C.; at Kingston University, London; the School for International Training (SIT); and the Yale School of the Environment.

I’m based in New York City. You can contact me at campaign4impact@gmail.com
